Today Microsoft announced first update to the Mobile Windows Marketplace. The new update now includes more improved developer portal for the registered ISVs and advanced anti-privacy protection. Also they had introduced PC based shopping and account management for its Windows Phone customers. All looks good accept one problem so far no word on the region selector which enable user to access applications not available in their country due to language barrier.

Applications For Windows Mobile 6.5

Recent launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 platform had let it become part of the new upcoming smart phones. When that news got to us we were on a look out for the application availability for it. After searching a bit, going through different sites, checking the once we are familiar with, we finally found some applications for WM 6.5 and a whole lot of new application to be available soon. One such site is YouPark, we been familiar with this site for a long time as we on various occasions had written about application we found interesting on there site. They had previously provided its customers with really good application. Some of them we also have tested and are our all time favorite to the extent that we now can’t even think of carrying our own cell phones around without them. Coming back to the point, after we came across some applications, we got into contact with the YouPark team about the WM 6.5 application. It was interesting to know that they officially launched WM 6.5 applications in addition are currently going to include more applications for WM 6.5 platform. They are completely focused on the new Platform, always ready to keep up with new technological advancement. So we are looking forward to it and in coming months expect lot of new application from there side. For now the two applications that we found interesting and useful are XTreme Tweaks for WM6.5 – Version1.0 and Scan2PDF Mobile – Version1.04, we used them ourselves , they are a must try for all those with the new platform.

Apple’s iPhone Operating Profit Beats Nokia For The First Time

In the third quarter this year, Apple became the world most profitable handset vendor, with its successful Application Store Apple keeps going up in race where as Nokia share of Smartphone market continues to slide, what we foresee now is that Google Android may give some real competition to Apple in near future, but for now Apples a complete success ,the iPhone ‘s such huge success has everything to do with its so large and great availability of applications .

This time we are going to share with you some useful applications for windows mobile users. With these application one can feel save about there data and never worry about it ever again, even when they get deleted they could be recovered easily.

Nokia to shut N-Gage platform

Nokia is going to close its N-Gage gaming platform by end of 2010. No games would be available on there N-Gage site in next year and all the games would now be available on Ovi app store. Also Nokia won’t pre install N-Gage application on its new devices anymore instead new devices would come with Ovi store app pre installed. Also N-Gage applications could be downloaded from third party websites. It been seen that N-Gage was not that popular or able to capture the required market share so in a way its good for Nokia to bury the dead and focus on the future.

Samsung offering sacks of cash

Having lost a lot of its mobile customers to Apple, and mostly to the iTunes App store, Samsung is willing to pay as much as $250,000 to development teams or individuals for any mobile games pitches for its recently launched application store.
According to Develop online Samsung has enlisted the help of mobile developer Hand Mark to look for the upcoming prototypes, pitches and products so to assist developers with ideas and provide a platform for the production of such ideas.
This is fantastic opportunity for anyone including big brands ,mobile developers even amateur developers ,students to utilize there skill and win cash for it.

NASA Application for iPhone

Folks at NASA have released a free iPhone application which give information and show all NASA images, videos, and mission and twitter updates. Application comes loaded with tones of quality images and videos, here it should be noted that the application is just 1.4 MB in size so to view images and video one needs to be connected to internet.
It’s a really informative application and especially for those who are obsessed by the NASA and its working. The application can be downloaded easily from the apple store.
Nokia files suit against Apple for iPhone patent infringement
Nokia had filed a patent infringement suit against Apple. Nokia Claims that Apple’s iPhone makes use of 10 patents Nokia holds for GSM,UMTS (3G) and wireless LAN (wifi). They all say that the patents also covers wireless data, security, Encryption and speech coding are infringed upon by all Apple iPhone models, including the original iPhone which was introduced in 2007.
According to Nokia:
“The basic principle in the mobile industry is that those companies who contribute in technology development to establish standards create intellectual property, which others then need to compensate for,” said Ilkka Rahnasto, Vice President, Legal & Intellectual Property at Nokia. “Apple is also expected to follow this principle. By refusing to agree appropriate terms for Nokia’s intellectual property, Apple is attempting to get a free ride on the back of Nokia’s innovation.”
The suit been filed in District Court in the state of Delaware.
Some industry analysts estimate that Apple could be forced to pay Nokia upwards of 1 billion US Dollar if it lost the case.

Nokia N920 Spotted

First Information about the Nokia next slimmer and keyboard less mobile phone had made the rounds through out the internet , we were able to get this photo of believed to be N920 from the various sites claiming about this rumor . There is no word about the specification yet and no official sources have confirmed the news, it should be noted in past also photos of upcoming Nokia phones been leaked on net before they were officially launched.
According to folks N920 may be the first series equipped with capacitive screen and multi touch support possible with upcoming Maemo 6 OS ,so more likely the phone if its true would be officially launched some where in late 2010, till then we can wait and see what powerful smart phones Nokia is planning for 2010.
