TATA Nano the World’s Cheapest Car Ever (Spend US$ 2500 And Get A Car)

India leading automobile company Tata has recently launched Tata Nano at an Auto Expo show in Delhi, India on January 10th 2008 to music from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The Tata Nano is roughly half the price of the cheapest car available today, making it the world’s cheapest car. At its most basic, the Nano cost £1,300 GBP or $2500 USD, and its closest rivals China’s QQ3Y Chery and India’s Maruti 800 are both about £2,550 GBP ($5000 USD).

It is a very compact car at only 3 meters long, could fit 4 or 5 people, top speed is 65mph, comes with the vital features, such as, brakes, a four-gear manual transmission, seat belts, locking, wind-down windows, a small boot and a steering wheel.
