Sony
The PSP is a definite multimedia platform, and AT&T is selling a metric assload of Walkmen phones from Sony-Ericsson, but both of these devices have limited sources of media to take advantage of.

PS3 owners have long enjoyed the ability to rip disks or downloadable content for their portable devices, but what if you’re an Xbox 360 fan? Enter the BDZ-A70, a set-top DVR-style device that automatically formats content for your portable Sony devices. Pretty cool, really. Read More About It

  1. After a slow start Sony are starting to get somewhere with their tech. I love the multi-compatibility thing as it suddenly makes your media worth buying again. Much better than enforcing DRM on everything. Share the love :) .

Just one thing from your post though, you ask “what if you’re an Xbox 360 fan?” But go on to say “…automatically formats content for your portable Sony devices”.

  2. @ mrchenery

I had to pick up on this. The post is saying how PS3 owners could do all the converting stuff. But asks ‘what about xbox owners?’ Along comes the device… Thus, the bdv-a70 is useful for xbox owners.

By the way, I have an xbox 360 and a psp, and walkman. So I could be a potential customer. (I am not though).
